Help Haden Heal: Support Jim and Theresa

In June of 2024, Tiffany Courville lost custody of her daughter to her ex-husband, Mason Meche, due to her inadequate parenting practices. At this time, Theresa, Tiffany’s mother, and her husband, Jim Dickinson, began to fight for custody of Haden, Tiffany’s 8-year-old son. At that time, Tiffany skipped town with Haden and was not contacting anyone to tell them where they were heading or where they were. Jim, utilizing his entire savings, has spent over $11,000 on lawyers and private investigators in order to find Haden and get him into a safe environment.

After the search went through Tiffany moving to three different states and living with various male individuals, in April 2025, Haden was found in Lincoln, NC, living in a house with no electricity or running water. Haden was weighing only 41 lbs, and had a giant bruise on the left side of his face where he was reportedly hit with a book by the man Tiffany was living with. Haden has lost hearing in his left ear, and it is unknown if he will fully recover his hearing. Haden’s head had to be shaved due to him having an extreme case of head lice. Tiffany and the man she was living with were arrested for child abuse, and Haden was taken into a foster home until custody could be decided by the courts.

Jim and Theresa have gone to court in Lafayette and have been awarded custody of Haden. They are traveling to North Carolina to pick up Haden and bring him home. Jim is a corrections officer with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, which means he makes deputy pay and has used all of his savings fighting for Haden. Once returning to Louisiana, Haden will need counseling and items to live. We are asking for any contributions to help Jim and Theresa recoup their savings and provide for an amazing life that Haden deserves.
