Help a Family Rebuild

Last Thursday morning, my friend’s father was detained. He has since been told he will be deported to Mexico, leaving behind his family who depended on him for everything.

Her father was the sole provider for his elderly parents and his 11 year old daughter. He worked hard every day to make sure they were cared for and had what they needed. Now, with his sudden detention and soon deportation, my friend has had to step up overnight to support her grandparents and little sister financially and emotionally.

This has been an unexpected and heartbreaking situation for everyone involved. We’re raising funds to help ease the financial burden on the family during this difficult time covering living expenses, food, bills, and basic needs for her grandparents and sister. A portion of the funds will also go toward helping her father as he restarts his life in Mexico, where he will need to find housing, work, and stability from scratch.
