The Greeley Community Garden fosters connection, learning, and generosity by creating a welcoming space where neighbors and visitors grow food, share resources, support one another, and honor the rich history of our town. As our community grows, so does the need for a vibrant, inclusive garden that can serve everyone. To meet these needs, we’re working to expand the garden with new structures, educational spaces, and essential infrastructure. These improvements will allow us to offer year-round programming, support families, and create a beautiful, functional gathering place for all.
With your support, we hope to build dedicated educational spaces, including a small outdoor classroom, a large gathering area for workshops and events, and storage for educational supplies. These spaces will support classes for children, adults, and families throughout the year. We also envision a welcoming visitor center and community hub, featuring a food-sharing and exchange area, a small co-op store with essential items, a freezer for community meat exchange, a teaching kitchen, restrooms, and general storage. This will become a true gathering place—a warm, welcoming spot for neighbors to connect.
A greenhouse will allow us to grow food year-round, start early spring planting, and host winter classes and gatherings. We plan to add managed bee hives and a demonstration area to support pollination and education, helping the garden thrive while teaching visitors about the importance of pollinators.
