Help Grow Bealeton Seeds of the Future (B.S.F.) – A Community Garden & Learning Hub
Location: Bealeton, VA
Organizer: Silas Sherertz
Hi everyone!
We’re starting something powerful right here in our small town and we need your help to make it grow.
B.S.F. is more than just a garden. It’s a new kind of outdoor space where our community can come together to grow food, connect with the land, learn sustainability skills, and celebrate diverse cultural roots, especially the Indigenous wisdom that first nurtured this soil.
What We’re Creating:
• A community garden full of vegetables, herbs, and native plants to feed families, pollinators, and earth.
• A fully outdoor learning space for kids, teens, and adults to explore sustainable living, traditional knowledge, art, and nature.
• A free gathering spot for music nights, skills workshops, fire circles, seasonal events, and more.
• A bridge between all the people who call Bealeton home — old and new, young and wise, country and city, every culture and background.
️ What We Need:
To get this dream off the ground, we’re raising $7,000 to cover essentials like:
• Soil, tools, compost, native plants & seeds
• Outdoor seating & shade structures
• Educational materials & workshop supplies
• A community fire pit for gatherings
• Permits, signage, and outreach materials
• Funding for local artists, teachers, and other specialists to lead community events
Why It Matters:
With rising food costs, loneliness, climate change, and division — we need places like this.
Places that grow real food, real community, and real change.
This garden is a seed. With your help, it will blossom into something lasting and beautiful.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate anything you can. Every dollar helps us grow!
2. Share this with your friends, neighbors, and networks.
3. Come join us! Whether you want to plant, build, teach, or learn, you’re welcome here.
Together, we can build a future rooted in respect, resilience, and connection.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
