Help Griselda Maria & Calabaza Stay Housed & Safe
Hi friends,
I’m reaching out on behalf of someone very close to my heart — Griselda Maria Palma. They are a beautiful, caring, and community-centered queer nonbinary Latine person who has been made vulnerable due to difficult circumstances.
Recently, Griselda Maria was let go from their job, a loss tied directly to their ongoing struggle with mental health. They’ve been struggling trying to stay afloat while navigating anxiety, burnout, and depression — all compounded by the pressures of simply trying to survive in a world not built to support people like them.
They are now facing urgent financial need. Without income, rent, groceries, medication, pet care for Calabaza, and basic living expenses have become nearly impossible to cover. There is no safety net — just the hope that community can come through for them as they often do for others.
Why This Matters:
Griselda Maria has always been the kind of person who shows up. Whether it’s lifting up voices on the margins, checking in on friends, volunteering time and energy, or holding space when it’s hard — they lead with love and care. Now, they need that love reflected back.
This mutual aid fund is to help cover:
• Immediate rent + housing stability
• Groceries and daily essentials
• Food and supplies for Calabaza
• Mental health support (therapy, meds, care)
• Moving expenses and general utilities
How You Can Help
We’re hoping to raise $4800 to help Griselda Maria get through the next few months while they stabilize, heal, and figure out next steps. Any amount, no matter how small, helps. Truly! And if you can’t give, sharing this campaign within your circles means just as much.
With love & solidarity,
Friends who cares deeply
