Help Griffyn Come Home

Hello! I'm a young actor and mental health/disability access/ transgender consultant. I worked over 40 hrs/week for two years while also being in university full time to fund my transition and build up savings. I spent my savings moving to the UK 3.5 years ago to get my postgraduate degree (the first in my family) and have made my living there since.

In November, my visa was denied solely based on the fact the Home Office couldn't offer me an appointment within their own 28-day application window.

In the middle of May, my application was denied again because, despite 3.5 lbs of paperwork of personal testimonies, private messages and photos, and more, an agent of the Home Office didn't believe two men like me and Chris could be partners.

In addition, the Home Office has made it clear that they believe that because the US is a "large country", Trump's anti-LGBT court initiatives won't affect my ability to be employed as a transgender person, despite my history of being legally fired for only and exactly that reason.

I have been unable to work a regular job in the UK since November 2017, and have had a hard time finding a job in the US, as I have no connections and cannot sign on to any long-term contracts while I try to return home.

I am undertaking as much  virtual work and minimum-wage work as I can. But, the application costs for my next application are enormous.

It's financially  impossible for me to apply to return home again or hire a lawyer to fight these LGBTQ-hate-fueled decisions. In addition, I've had to reduce my healthcare access and change everything about my hormone treatment, which is leaving me ill, tired, and without recourse to regular mental health support.

I absolutely hate having to asking for charity, but the only way for me to get home or even begin to save up to get better healthcare is through this fundraising campaign. Please share and/or donate as you feel able/comfortable doing so.

If you want more info, below is an exact breakdown of visa application costs. If, by any chance, we raise above this amount, that money will go towards 1) my flight back to London £400-700 min and 2) the bills and debt I've accumulated while being unable to work or fund my own travel back to the US so I can start to work.

£2081.58 - visa fee
£200 - courrier service (delivers my passport and other sensitive documents  safely, without large risk of it being stolen)
£578.51 - NHS fee
