Help Greyson with his fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
My sweet brother and sister in law Trevor and Whitney, are going through the unimaginable right now.
There sweet baby boy born on 9/11 had a wonderfully easy birth. Mom and baby seemed to be doing well and healthy until that evening the night nurse took over to watch him so Whitney could get some rest. The nurse was concerned because he hadn’t pooped, wasn’t eating and his tummy was very bloated. Little did they know there was (is) a very large mass in his stomach. The mass was discovered through x-ray tucked in back above his left kidney. The mass measured in at 8cmx5cmx5cm (about the size of a fist).
Baby Greyson was immediately transferred to the Children’s Hospital in Omaha. The doctors were hoping to resect the whole mass but the CT scan showed two major arteries are passing right through it. A couple days later he went into surgery to get a biopsy to send to pathology to find out what exactly the mass was (is). As bad news turned into worse. The results came back as a Neuroblastoma. Not showing up in her 20 week ultra sound. The cancer had grown in gestation after 20 weeks sometime until she delivered at 38 weeks.

It was determined that this little baby would have to undergo chemotherapy.
During his central venous catheter placement, his thoracic duct was injured, causing his belly to fill with lymphatic fluid. His mother had to use a centrifuge to remove all the fat from her breast milk so the duct could heal. It had to be put down a nasogastric tube because he wouldn’t drink it.
His central line became infected after a few days and he had to go under general anesthesia to get another one placed. This put him in the ICU yet again and led to him getting a blood clot in his subclavian vein. He has had to have shots every day to keep the clot from expanding.
As of right now he has done two rounds of chemotherapy and multiple blood transfusions before 5 weeks of age. Greyson has been poked and prodded more than most people in there lifetime.
As you can imagine the stress of being away from her other baby (he is 2) and the 24/7 stress and anxiety they are facing now and in the future is hopefully something we can all help ease a little. Let’s take some of the stress of bills and the small things for them.

Each and every dollar counts. Thank you for taking the time to read!
Greyson continues to fight for his life everyday. Please keep them in your prayers for today and for the days coming.
