My name is Greg, and in December, my life changed dramatically when I had to have my leg amputated. The cost of my prosthetic leg is significant, and my insurance requires me to pay a large copay out of pocket. This is a huge financial burden, especially since my only income right now is from social security.
To make things even more difficult, my landlord is selling the house I've been renting for the past 10 years, and I need to find a new place to live before the end of May 2026. With the cost of the prosthetic leg and the uncertainty of finding a new home, I am feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. I've been trying to get help through Medicaid, but it's been very difficult to qualify here in Pennsylvania.
I have always tried to stay positive, especially about the possibility of walking again with a prosthetic leg, but right now I am struggling. I've never asked for help from anyone before, but I could really use support to get through this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help me take steps—literally and figuratively—toward rebuilding my life. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
