Help Greg Hedrick Bring Healthcare to Peru

My name is Greg Hedrick and I am a 2nd year Osteopathic Medical Student at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. I am the Vice President of the DOCARE International organization at my school. Through this organization, we will be traveling to Iquitos, Peru for a medical mission trip in March 2025. I was fortunate enough to attend this trip last year and it was a great experience. I was able to volunteer my skills and compassion to those in need and at the same time learn viable skills that will make me a better future physician.

Highlights of the March 2024 mission trip included serving 1,226 citizens of Iquitos, Peru and the Amazon. In this region, their medical system is vastly different and it is difficult for them to receive the adequate care they need. We were able to provide patients with many of the standard needs such as general health, vision, and dental check-ups, antibacterial/antiparasitic medications and vitamins. This trip does so much for their community and your help will go a long way!
