Help Grant, Wanda and family during this tough time

Hi my name is colby card some of you may know me or know my parents Grant Burgess and Wanda Card.

On August 13 at about 5pm our beloved childhood home went up in flames leaving nothing but ashes and debris a flat ground where our house used to stand.

Our beloved and long time family friend/ god mother Susan Lee who is currently living with them for the last few months was taking a nap on our couch when my brother Cameron Card woke her to tell her he was going to the store and asked if she needed anything Susan replied no

My brother was off to the irving and in little to no time Susan fell back asleep then shortly was awaken by smoke filling the house confused and scared she went to check the stove. Nothing. Panic sets in and she calls my mother “the house is on fire” is the word she heard coming from the other line panic and scared my mom called my brother and told him to get home now! Susan tried to go get her purse but upon reaching her room the handle burnt her hand and she had to leave her purse with her car keys behind and all her belongings nothing saved :( losing her car which insurance will not cover:(

As my brother Cameron pulled into what has been his home from day 1 in this world till now he watched the flames take over his only

home he’s every had flames shooting out the roof he ran back inside to make sure Susan got out and into his room in the basement of our home to grab his wallet and anything he could carry out he’s a hard working man my dad raised him good and all he has left is a car computer box and the clothes on his back.

Wanda and Grant had spend the last week or so on a trip together to Toronto they were on there way home when they got the call 2 hrs away feeling hopeless they drove as fast as they could and returned to a lot of dust and debris and flat land where there house they spent the last 32 years of there life building and making a home. Gone just like that.

I’m asking for anything even a pray! my family has lost everything they have work so hard over decades to build please please please if you can donate please do my dad still has a business to run and bills to pay on top of the fear of wondering if he will be able to rebuild a life for my mom and him to grow old together something they should be started now!

My brother Myles Card lives here and lost everything he owns along with his daughter who is there part time has lost everything to!

Currently my mom has a broken foot in two places her bone is also chipped and her large ligament is torn all in the same foot she has a long road to recovery and my dad is her soul provider right now so anything help

we would love to raise enough to take the stress off my dad as he takes care of his family the best way he can !
