I'm 68, a grandpa to 10 grandkids, filled with hope and vision for the future.
I have dreamt of building an organizational camp for families and youth. Though, I lived in Oregon for the past 44 years my intention was to build this on property that my wife and I purchased in Tennessee back in 2021.
However, life handed me a curve ball that that a professional baseball player can't even hit. I was diagnosed with late, 4th stage prostate cancer .
I haven't yet seen the Oncologist yet but am scheduled shortly.
The medical expenses as a retireree is well beyond my means as I am utilizing a Naturalist who is doing tests to help me understand the root of the cause rather than the normal conventional means that is a one size fits all approach to treatment. Although I understand that conventional treatments can include chemo and radiation therapies I am wanting to do a more sure approach to targeted therapies.
Rather than insurance paying out over $350k plus my portion I want to focus on testing, labs, and more appropriate meds totalling under $7000. Of course insurance won't pay this so I'm looking for those to co-labor with me in this fight. They say many hands make light work. I believe it.
I want to see my grandkids grow up. I also want to see my labor count for something wonderful towards generational enjoyment of a camp, even after I'm gone.
Will you prayerfully consider giving? The pic below is of one of the "Creeks" and waterfalls on the property in Tennessee where I want to labor and build a place of refuge for families.
