** June 2026** Back at it again- She was able to find part time work at Dollar Tree but was fired as of today for being too slow. I believe it was due to recent health issues affecting her mobility.

Help Support an Elderly Woman and young adult grandson in Royersford Borough.

I don’t often rant, but this is a heartfelt plea for help. There's an elderly woman and her disabled grandson living here in Royersford Borough. A few years back, I had the privilege of helping them as their realtor, guiding them out of a difficult housing situation when no one else would. That experience deepened my passion for rentals and assisting those in need.

Since then, I've kept in touch with her, knowing she has no family support. Now in her mid-80s, she faces health issues, though not severe enough to qualify for disability. She was let go from her full-time job in the spring and has since exhausted her unemployment benefits. Although she’s been actively searching for work, filling out applications, and attending interviews, she’s faced continual rejection—likely due to her age and some mobility challenges. Social Security falls far short of covering her expenses, and Section 8 housing has a waitlist so long it’s essentially inaccessible for her.

There’s a misconception that housing programs can help. In reality, they only provide minimal, one-time aid, and often require you to be on the brink of eviction. Most assistance is directed toward larger areas like Pottstown or Norristown, leaving her with few options locally.

Over the months, I’ve been supporting her as best as I can—covering hundreds of dollars in bills each month to prevent eviction and keep her electricity on. She’s not sitting back waiting; she’s actively seeking work, even though she shouldn’t have to be at her age.

My hope with this GoFundMe is to relieve her of the financial burden and let her focus on her well-being. If anyone has local job leads—she’d be open to a cashier or stocking role. Please consider helping in any way you can, whether by donating, sharing, or sending any job opportunities her way. Every bit of support counts. Thank you for helping make a difference in her life.

Funds will be used towards rent, internet bill, car loan, car insurance for the years ahead.
