Help Grandma & Her Great-Grandkids Beat the Heat!

Hi everyone,

My name is Lawrence, and I originally started this fundraiser (with help from a friend and local news reporters) to raise money for a new air conditioning unit for my grandmother and her two great-grandchildren (my nephews). The intense heat was making it very hard for them to stay safe and comfortable in their home.

Thanks to the incredible kindness of our community and the support of local organizations, a new AC unit was donated to my grandmother. We are so grateful for this generous gift!

However, my grandmother and the kids still have other urgent needs. We’re now hoping to use the funds raised for:

• High utility bills from running temporary cooling units before the AC was replaced

• Basic household repairs and maintenance

• Some daily living expenses for my grandmother due to the unexpected expenses added from an inadequate AC Unit

• Back-to-school supplies and clothing for the kids

I want to be fully transparent with all our donors about this change. Your support means the world to us, and any funds donated will go directly toward helping my grandmother and my nephews live more safely and comfortably.
