The uptown community has been ravaged by the destruction of fires in the aftermath of looters and rioters from out of town.
Before this they were struggling as the only grocery store for the neighborhoods closed, leaving the community to rely on family dollar and small local owned convince stores for necessities.
Now all of these business are closed leaving no resources for food and other things like diapers, formula etc.
Grace welcome center, located on 60th st, has been a constant of support for this community and they will be needed more than ever with their food pantry and other services.
