Hi, I’m Eli. For my bar mitzvah project, I’m working to raise money for the wonderful organization called Grace, which serves the local Summit community by providing nutritious groceries to people in need. When my mom was volunteering during a food distribution, she noticed that many of the recipients were struggling to carry heavy bags of groceries. Many of the recipients are elderly, and some don’t have a vehicle, making it even more challenging to get their food home safely.

My bar mitzvah project is aimed at addressing this issue by raising funds to buy small, light foldable shopping carts that can make people’s lives a little easier. These carts will help families, seniors, and people with limited mobility access healthy groceries from Grace, making food distribution more efficient and accessible for everyone. Your support will have a direct impact on the lives of those in our community who need it most.
