If you've met Gloria Kennard, you love her.
Since 1988, Gloria has opened her heart — and her table — to the Bryan-College Station community. Every Thanksgiving, no matter someone's circumstances, Gloria makes sure they have a place where they are welcomed and fed. Year after year, she draws in volunteers and supporters from across the community, helping her serve more than 2,000 meals each year. She does it again on New Year's Day, ringing in the year by making sure no one goes without.
For more than 16 years, Gloria has also given her time to The Bridge Ministries, a local food pantry. If you've served alongside her, you've seen it firsthand: Gloria lifting up her neighbors in prayer, passing out bread, and making sure everyone who walks through the door feels seen.
Gloria is more than a volunteer-- she's a cornerstone of this community. We could fill pages with everything she's given to Bryan-College Station over the decades. Now it's our turn to give back.
Gloria was recently involved in a car accident that left her vehicle totaled. While she has insurance, it isn't enough to cover a replacement, and without reliable transportation, her ability to keep showing up for the people who depend on her is at risk.
Please consider making a donation to help Gloria get back on the road, so she can keep doing what she's always done: showing up for her neighbors.
