Help Support a Local Musician in Need – Replace Saxophone!

Meet Glen McRae, a beloved saxophonist who has been an integral part of the vibrant downtown Wilmington scene. For years, his soulful music has set the perfect vibe for locals and visitors alike. Whether it’s a calm morning or a lively evening, his melodies have been a constant source of joy for the community. His music is more than just a performance—it’s a part of his soul and identity.

Sadly, Glen's saxophone is broken, and he hasn’t been able to play for nearly a month. As you can imagine, this has been incredibly difficult for him, as music is a huge part of who he is. Despite his circumstances, he’s never asked for much in return for his performances, simply sharing his gift with the community because he loves to see others enjoy his music.

Now, we have the opportunity to help him get back to doing what he loves. With your generous donations, we can help him replace his saxophone, so he can once again bring his music to the streets of Wilmington and continue to inspire those around him.

Once we hit our fundraising goal, I will use the donated funds to purchase a saxophone for Glen from Music & Arts and give it to him. Music & Arts currently has a Tenor Saxophone in stock and ready for pick up. Glen may only be an acquaintance, but one thing is certain: Glen and his music are an integral part of our community.
