Hello everyone!

My name is Viri. I have created this in hopes of helping my mom give my little sister Lupe a happy birthday. My sister was born with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome and her whole life she has gone through a lot of pain. However, through it all, she has always stayed strong. From falling from a jumper and dislocating her discs, causing her to be in a vegetative state for over 6 months. Unable to move, she went through surgeries and physical therapy. She had screws in her head to hold her neck in place and had to wear braces on her legs. Through it all, she would always show her courage, trying to make us feel better by saying it was OK. Her smiles were non-stop. She learned to walk but unfortunately, her legs are now weak. She can only walk a short distance, unable to lift her legs. Because of this, she has fallen many times. On one occasion, she fell and broke her two front teeth. Another time, she sprained her wrist and had to get it operated on. She broke her nose and went under another surgery. Many times she's been hurt and many times she has proven to be a brave warrior. She is loving and caring, full of the most sincere, heartwarming personalities. She is always looking out for her whole family. She has been my strength when I've been weak. This year she turns 40. She never asks for anything big, but this time she asked for a party. Since COVID, my family, like many others, has been struggling. In a house of 7, my mom is the only one working. I lost my job 2 years ago and couldn't find one since. Needless to say, my savings have gone down the drain. I started a side business selling things on OfferUp, Facebook, etc., which, thanks to God, has helped me get by. Which is why I have turned to GoFundMe. Whatever money is collected will go to my Lupita. I would like to surprise her with a banda, mariachi, or a DJ! She had asked me for this, but I had to say no for lack of money. Whatever you can donate, however you can help, will be much appreciated. And I will keep you all in my prayers each night.
