Give a Foster Youth the Freedom of Their First Bike
When I was 5 years old, I moved to a new city and didn’t know anyone.
Riding around the neighborhood, I found my friends—people who are still like family to me today. That bike gave me freedom, confidence, and a way to belong.
Now, we want to give that same gift to foster youth in our community.
Our Goal: Build 20 Bikes for Foster Youth
Each bike includes:
>> A new bike
>> A helmet
>> A lock
ToDo’s Bike Garage, in partnership with Foster Love, local Kirkland bicycle builders, and Beacon Hill Bike Garage, is coming together to build and donate 20 brand-new bikes to foster youth.
These bikes will be distributed through foster organizations, helping kids experience the freedom of mobility, independence, and connection.
Your Impact (Doubled)
Every dollar is matched → your donation goes twice as far
That means:
$250 builds one complete bike
Just $125 delivers a full bike to a foster youth
Every donation—big or small—moves us closer to putting a bike in a child’s hands.
❤️ Why This Matters
For many foster youth, stability and connection can be hard to find.
A bike is more than transportation:
It’s a way to explore
A way to meet friends
A way to feel independent
A way to belong
️ Built by Community, for Community
This project is powered by volunteers and local partners:

All labor is donated—100% of funds go directly to bikes, helmets, and locks.
Once we reach our goal:
Parts will arrive within ~30 days
We’ll host a community build day the following week
