Help Give Alfie a Voice
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hailey and I am Auntie to a wonderful boy called Alfie.
Alfie is 11 years old and has Autism.
Alfie or Alf as he is affectionately known, is also non-verbal.
His parents have never heard his voice.
Alfie starts secondary school in September and his parents have been advised that Alf would benefit from an AAC device.
They range from £1000 to £2000 so any donations big or small would mean the world!
Sadly our local council won’t fund this piece of equipment and I feel this is detrimental to Alfie’s educational and wellbeing story.
Alf is a lovely boy and despite all his challenges he communicates in his own way with some sign language and noises.
And those that know and love him the most understand him.
However it would be wonderful to give Alfie the independence he deserves and the voice he needs.
Currently Alf uses an old iPhone and tablet to watch his favourite YouTube videos mostly of Toy Story or story telling. Alf also loves watching the Home Alone movies despite what time of year it is.
With an AAC device Alf will be able to communicate and express himself without the frustrations when others don’t understand.
Please if you can help spread the word and/or donate I would be truly grateful
I would love to be able to surprise my baby Brother and Sister in Law with this news. They both work full time and don’t have the funds available to be able to afford this equipment for their Son.
I know it would mean the world to them.
If you got this far, thank you for reading. And have a good day.
