Supporting the Family of Our Friend and Classmate, Gideon D. Goldmann
Our Cornell MBA Class of 2025 mourns the loss of our beloved friend and classmate, Gideon D. Goldmann, who passed away on October 23, 2025.
Gideon was a devoted husband and a proud father of five sons — the heart of his world. Everything he accomplished, every milestone he achieved, was ultimately in service to their future and the life he built with his wife. His love for his family was steady and deep, and it radiated in the way he showed up for his classmates, colleagues, and friends.
Today, as we grieve, we come together to lift up the Goldmann family — to surround them with love, community, and practical support during this unimaginable time.
This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses and to provide stability for Gideon’s wife and sons as they navigate the difficult days ahead. Every contribution, no matter the size, is a meaningful way to honor the man who gave so much of himself to others.
Gideon’s story is one of brilliance, perseverance, and generosity. An American of Ghanaian descent, he spent more than two decades in management consulting, finance, and technology, leading with humility and purpose across global institutions such as PwC, EY, Deloitte, Grant Thornton, and Prudential Financial. He was also the Founder and former Chairman of Gideon Goldmann, LLC, a Wall Street advisory and investment banking firm focused on empowering Sub-Saharan Africa.
Beyond the titles and achievements, Gideon was the kind of person who listened deeply, believed fiercely in potential — especially in others — and always made people feel seen. His presence in our Cornell community was defined by encouragement, laughter, and quiet strength.
Now, it’s our turn to stand with his family as he always stood with us.
Please join us in honoring Gideon’s legacy by supporting his loved ones through your donation, your prayers, and by sharing this campaign.
