Update: Hi friends, My name is Gideon, and I recently got my dog back after leaving an abusive decade long relationship in central Louisiana. Unfortunately, while my dog was in my exes care, she was mistreated. When my ex couldn't hurt me, he hurt my animals, including a pair of 14 year old cats that I still don't know what happened to. Waffles (my dog) and I are about to move across the country to the West Coast the day after I am writing this. I hope to work with some programs that help trans people get established in safer states. In the meantime of getting those resources, she and I will be staying in the cheaptest motel money can buy, but I need help maintaining that situation until we can find more stable housing. **ORIGINAL: After a decade long abusive relationship, I left my husband for good. I realized if I wanted to grow to become the most ancient trans person anyone's ever seen, I had to save myself. My plan was to get him committed, to get him help so he wouldn't have violent outbursts against me anymore. But, my step daughter stopped it from happening, and made me become unhoused.

I am sleeping extremely temporarily on a couch, I have no money of my own, because I'm disabled. I just moved across country, I barely know anyone. My goal right now is to get into an extended stay motel closer to the airport which is about 3 1/2 hours from where I am now. I'm not sure where I'm moving for the long term, but being nearer to the only place that can get me anywhere is a good first step.

I also need to get these funds quickly, because my ex still has my dog, she's the love of my life, a little Chichuaha named Waffles. I want to get her back and bring her with me so we can start healing all of this together.
