Help Get These Girls A Home

Donation protected
Riley, Peyton and Anberlin are homeless. Their mother, Jennifer, lost her home and became unable to work as she had to dedicate all of her time to surviving and taking care of her children.  Then, they found the Women’s Shelter in Nashville.  It became their refuge while they figured out their next steps. They were forced to leave the Women’s Shelter because there was no electricity after Monday’s tornado hit. They found help at the Red Cross Shelter at the Centennial Sportsplex, where victims of the tornado gathered to receive help. They left without anything except a couple of plastic bags of clothing and backpack for the girls.

The children are in school: Riley is in Kindergarten, Peyton is in 1st Grade, and Anberlin is in 2nd Grade at an elementary school near Germantown in Nashville (one of the areas the tornado hit the hardest).

As of today, Friday, March 6th, they have a hotel room donated to them until Tuesday morning, March 10th, at which time they would have to find shelter.

Help us change this family’s life and get them into a home. A permanent home will allow the girls’ mom to focus on work again to provide for her family.

Here is the goal:
- Find them a place to live and pay for the rent on their home for an entire year. (12 months)
- Provide funds to pay for a modest car to get the mom to and from work and the children to and from school.

Agencies will be assisting the mother in finding work, but it remains that our immediate goal is to provide housing for this family so that they may begin a permanent change of their situation.

Home: $1,500/month ($18,000/year)

Gas: $200/month ($2,400/year)

Food: $500/month ($6,000/year)

Car: $5,000 - total

Household items including bathroom, kitchen and furniture: $2,000
They will be accepting donations of furniture, beds, household items once they have a home

Clothing: Socks, underwear, shirts, pants, dresses (for the girls) and work clothes (for the mom).

The mom is currently looking for employment in the Germantown/East Nashville area. If you have any connections or opportunities, please reach out.

The shelter provided temporary help. We are looking to permanently change this family’s life and give the 3 children a place to feel comfortable and at home, and additionally provide their mother with a safe space to get back on her feet.

We can’t help everyone, but we can all help someone. If everyone pitches in a little we can make a positive impact on this family’s life forever. Below is a picture of everything they own.

100% of funds received will go to the escrow account of Attorney Wayne Halper and be allocated only for the specific needs described.
