Please help support Maria and her 15 year-old-daughter whose father, Señor
Hernandez, was taken by ICE on his way to work in January. Hernandez was swiftly transferred across the country and is currently being held in ICE detention in Colorado. His family is not sure when or if he will return. Hernandez has been a hardworking member of our community for over 20 years. He is a deeply involved and loving father who cherished spending time with his daughter and doing things together, and his sudden absence has been heartbreaking.
Since Hernandez’s detention, Maria has been working two jobs, including night shifts, to try and make up for the lost income that Hernandez brought to the family. Despite working long hours, Maria is still struggling to bring in enough funds to cover basic needs like rent, utilities, and food.
Her daughter is a freshman in high school and she loves her school, but the family is worried they will have to move because they cannot afford the rent. Maria is doing all she can to help them stay in their current neighborhood and school, and to provide some stability for her daughter during this uncertain and painful time. Please give what you can to help this family make it through this most difficult time. Every little bit helps. Thank you.

Gracias.
