Along the coast of Karachi, Pakistan, a group of young fishermen have found something extraordinary in the waves.
The Surfers of Buleji come from generations of fishing families. Raised in the Arabian Sea, the water has always been part of their identity. While joining their fathers on fishing trips, they discovered surfing — first riding wooden scraps, then searching local junkyards for discarded boards, broken leashes, and anything they could repair and reuse.
What began as curiosity became passion. And that passion has grown into something much bigger.
Despite having almost no resources, no government recognition of the sport, and little access to equipment or support, these young surfers have stayed determined to build a surf culture in Pakistan from the ground up.

The boys are actively trying to start a surf school however don't have the means to set up shop. Our goal is $15,000.
With your donations we'll be able to:
- Purchase and ship essential surf equipment including boards, leashes, wax, repair materials, and other gear that is nearly impossible to access locally. Surf gear is expensive and very costly to ship.
- Safely rent spaces on the coast of Karachi for lessons as several sections of the beaches are privately owned.
- Create opportunity, community, and a new future for young people in Bulleji.
In a village where fishing has always been the only path, these boys are daring to build something entirely new.
