Help get our Mum get back on the road

Hi, my name is Nigel, and I’m reaching out to ask for some support — and to raise awareness — after my mum’s ute was stolen from her home in Leeton early Wednesday morning around 6am.

Update:

Thanks to the incredible support of our local community, Mum’s ute has been found in Narrandera and is now back at home. Police are currently finalising their forensic investigation and have gathered a large amount of evidence as part of their ongoing case.

We’re beyond grateful! It really was the community that brought Mum’s ute home — people kept an eye out, shared the word, and took action. It’s been amazing to see everyone come together, and we can’t thank you enough.

Unfortunately, the vehicle was not comprehensively insured, and the damage caused means we’ll still need to cover the full cost of repairs or, if necessary, replacement — to safely get Mum back on the road.

Mum has always been passionate about giving back. She co-founded the Leeton Youth and Skate Committee and spent over five years advocating for young people across the Riverina. Her support helped bring the Leeton Skatepark to life, where Dad also volunteered as a labourer. The stolen ute made countless trips to Griffith for Dad’s leukaemia treatment — and meant a great deal to our family.

Any support — whether that’s a donation or simply sharing this page — will go directly toward covering those costs and helping Mum stay independent and connected.

We, the Cameron family, can’t thank the Riverina community enough for their relentless support to DO SOMETHING GOOD.
