Mr.Sparkle the Tesla Model 3 SR+ 2021 with now 417,000km+ recently developed an issue with the LV & HV battery pack, it's unknown the total costs at this stage on repairs.
My name is Nathan Merritt, I run a large community on Facebook called Tesla Owners Australia with now over 117,000+ Members, when the issue occurred I lodged a service request via the Tesla App, at the same time I was keeping all the community informed with what the next steps were going to be to recover the car and re-locate it to Tesla Mt Gravatt
During all my posts several community members suggested they would be willing to throw some dollars towards the repairs to see this vehicle well exceed 500,000km, in true commitment I also believe this will be possible.
I'm the original owner of this vehicle, I do private Transfers & Rideshare in Brisbane, QLD Australia, with the car currently unable to be used as a sole trader I'll now be without any income source, so ontop of the repairs + time off the road it all adds up,
I've done this business now for over 10+ Years, unexpected costs can come and go, all year round. it's all part of the job, however if you have followed some of the work I did have done at Tesla in 2025 you will remember I had rather costly repairs completed relating to "Suspension" + Aircon compressor & Super-manifold work done on the car. (330,000km)
I've never done GoFund me before so this will be a new thing for me,
I'd appreciate anything from the community, I'm sure you have at some point benefited from the wealth of information I've shared on the community page over the last 5 Years of the group running,
For now I'll await further updates from Tesla which will be early next week 2nd Feb 2026 onwards,
Tesla have already put me in a loan vehicle, but due to licencing I'm unable to use this to carry on my RideShare & Ride4U duties
