My husband James has been in Wisconsin for almost two months now, away from me and our 4 boys (ages 10, 8, 4 and 3). He went there for work in February since it was a hard winter, we’d already had thousands in unexpected equipment repairs in a season that is already slow, and some work opportunities arose in Madison, where we lived for 10 years working with YWAM. We also had a chipper that needed repair and a guy there who could do it cheaply so James headed there. Days turned into weeks as needed parts were slow in coming and then $500 was stolen. When finally the chipper was fixed, the chip truck broke down. It turned out to be the transmission, with a price tag of $3,500+, on top of the bills piling up at home. James has been very hard at work every day but to save enough to fix everything and get back here on top of bills and such would take a long time and he’s been gone from us for long enough.
