Help get Ella back - LGBT

Dear Friends/ Family, and Peers,

First off, this is a very difficult thing for me to do, but I am out of options and I am asking for help from my family; both blood and chosen. As many of you know, I have a beautiful (almost) 4 year old daughter named Ella. This little girl is the light of my life . As of February, this light has been taken away. Due to a dismantling of my relationship with Ella’s birth mother, I have been stripped of my parental rights and have been unable to see my daughter. As so many LGBTQIA+ parents/families have experienced before me, I have found myself a victim of systemic failure that sadly does not preserve the rights of the non-biological parent. Therefore, I feel that my only option is to take legal action in order to gain custody of my daughter who is my everything.

Those that know me can attest to who I am as a parent. Since having Ella, I have worked day and night to ensure that she has a safe, loving, and happy life. As time passes, I am becoming more and more concerned about the effect that this forced distance will have on my daughter. My goal in exposing my pain is to ask you all to for help obtaining the financial resources necessary to legally provide my daughter with a stable life. Although my ex and I couldn’t make it work, I am confident that, with legal support, we will be able to develop a more cohesive environment and co-parenting relationship for Ella to grow up in.
 
Everyday can be used against me. I can’t imagine my world without her, and I don’t want her to have a world where she doesn’t know who I am. I appreciate everyone’s help, even if it is just by sharing my story. You have no idea how much this means to me, thank you.
