Help get Eddie rollin’ again

Donation protected
My name is Eliska, and my son was born very early which caused him to be born with a disorder called cerebral palsy. Although this condition affects his ability to move and maintain balance and posture, he is still the happiest, loveliest and most active little boy and takes every day in stride. We are fundraising to raise money for an off-road wheelchair to further his passion for adventure and adrenaline.

Little Eddie’s current wheelchair just isn't cutting it anymore - it is heavy and unwieldy and doesn't allow him to move fast enough or keep up with the other kids at school.

We want to make one special little boy's life easier and enable him to be more independent by providing him with the means to keep up with his peers. To do this Eddie needs a lightweight rigid framed off-road wheelchair but unfortunately, these cost a LOT of money!
It would make Eddie’s year to get a new wheelchair that is as awesome as he is.

“Hi there!

My name is Eddie. I’m the cutest and cheekiest 4-and-a-half-year-old you can imagine. My mum says I was born super early, just 24 weeks into her pregnancy. I guess I just couldn’t wait to meet her. But my early arrival caused me a few troubles, the main one is called Cerebral palsy. I don’t understand what this is yet, but my mum says it’s a neurological disorder that affects my physical abilities. Basically, my left arm and both my legs don’t work so good and are weak. I’m not sure if I’ll ever walk on my own, but I am really determined and will try to every day.

I’ve had my wheelchair for a while now. It’s great and it’s my main way of getting out and about when I’m not at home. This year my mum and family started calling me an adrenaline junkie or something. I don’t know what that is, I just like to go reeeeally fast all the time and crash into things. Unfortunately, my wheelchair wasn’t really built for high speeds, but my mum is determined to make me the happiest boy ever and says she’s trying to save up to get me a special off-road wheelchair! These are super-duper expensive, thousands of pounds, so it might take a long time to get, but every little helps and we’ll get there eventually. This is the sort of wheelchair I am hoping to get eventually, and when my mum doesn’t need to go to the doctors again, we can go up the mountains and go really fast together.

If you’d like to know more about me or my condition, please see the full story of my birth and development at my mum's blog, whatever that is. Thank you for the time you are taking to read this. ”
