Help get CHIR.fm on the air on the Gulf Islands

Hi,

My name is Damian Inwood and I'm president of Gulf Islands Community Radio Society.

On January 24, 2022, the CRTC granted us a Community FM licence and gave us two years to get on the air.

We will be broadcasting to Salt Spring Island, Galiano Island, Pender Island, Mayne Island and Saturna Island.

Our programming will include, local news, current affairs, and emergency alerts and will also feature local musicians and artists. Our goal is to become "the Voice of the Gulf Islands."

To do that, we need to raise about $50,000 for transmitting and studio equipment.

We have already raised more than $12,000 but need help with a couple of major items.

One is the transmitter, which costs over $10,000. And the second is the transmitter site audio and other ancillary equipment, which total $10,000.

Please help us reach our goal.
