We’re reaching out for your support as our family takes a huge step—Germaine is going back to school after four years of being homeschooled.

Due to the pandemic and my fears as a mom of a non-verbal child, I chose to homeschool Germaine to protect him. I worried that if he ever became sick, he wouldn’t be able to tell me—especially if he couldn’t breathe. But now, it’s time. He’s ready to take on this next chapter, and so are we—with love, courage, and your help.

Why we’re fundraising:

Germaine is on the autism spectrum and will need extra Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to manage the emotional and behavioral challenges that come with transitioning to a brand-new school environment—especially as he experiences separation anxiety from me.

We are also raising funds for:

• Transportation support so I can personally take him to and from school for the first few months until he’s adjusted and can safely take the bus

• Mom’s therapy (yes, I’m being honest!)—because this journey is emotional, overwhelming, and I want to show up as the best version of myself for him
