Help Gerardo Return Home

Hello, my name is Luna Infante, and I live in Federalsburg, MD. I am raising money for my dad, Gerardo Infante. He was detained by ICE agents the morning of Monday, July 21st, when he arrived at a job site in Easton, MD. He is now being held at a detention center in Louisiana. My family has hired an attorney, who is working to secure his release and allow him to return home.

We have been living in the U.S. for 11 years. My dad has no criminal record; the worst thing he's done is get a speeding ticket. All we want is to go back to living our regular lives privately and contributing to the local community and economy. He runs his own construction company, which he started back in 2018. His absence has devastated many of his clients, whom he had actively been working for before being detained. He was in charge of many ongoing construction projects, which are now in jeopardy of not being completed due to the fear that the people who work for him have. He is very hardworking, even going out of his way to help people when they need it most. He is a very devout Christian and even taught the Bible school class at our church every Sunday morning.

Your contribution will be used to cover my dad's growing legal expenses as well as his bond payment. Just to start the bond process, we need to raise $3,000. Paying the bond is a whole different thing.

We also plan to use part of the money raised here to help other detainees contact their families, as some don’t have the funds for calling money or money for food
