Hi my name is George, I'm 20 years old and a full time student studying my passion for film in Leeds, working part time alongside my studies. Last month my mum, Dawn passed away from a incredibly rare form of cancer, sarcoma. Leaving me with the family home, As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly hard period of my life, and as a student living and working halfway across the country a majority of the time has left me in a difficult position mentally and financially. I do not want to sell the house, as it is my family home and I'd be left homeless for the foreseeable essentially if i we're to sell it. My stepfather did live in the house with me and my mum, but since her passing has moved out, with that, he has taken alot of essentials from the house, leaving me without a washing machine, toaster, and furniture, and also left me with the family cats, Walter and Willow. This has been alot for me to deal with almost on my own as I have very little family. The house has been in a neglected state for many years, over grown garden, exposed ceilings, and a mammoth of clutter left for me to deal with. Between that and Uni, I'm struggling, I'm trying to be strong and carry on like my mum wished for me to, but I can't do this alone, Any support even just a pound will help me pay utilities/bills and work that needs doing to my home to make it safe and livable for me.
