My father, George Gagliano, is dying of brain cancer. I wish there was a better way to say that, but there really isn’t. He has lost the use of his left arm and leg and has to get around in a wheelchair. My family is trying to save up enough money to buy a wheelchair-accessible van so we can take him to do some of his bucket list items, such as go to a “Hallmark Movie Town” for Christmas. My dad loves Hallmark movies.
My dad has helped so many people over the years and never asked for anything in return. He is the kind of man that would come over on a weekend to help you remodel a bathroom, drive to your house late at night to help you deal with a leaky roof, or fix his kid's favorite toy that suddenly stopped working (after said kid submerged it in water…).
This van would also help to get dad to his appointments at the Mayo Clinic, about 3hrs from home. My mother struggles to take him there every Friday, and this van would make it significantly easier on her.
Please consider donating anything you can so we can give back to a man who gave so much.
