Help our family in Gaza rebuild their lives

I urgently reach out to you in a time of crisis. My family, consisting of twelve members, is currently in Gaza, confronting unprecedented challenges. We are in desperate need of your assistance to facilitate their safe evacuation.

Here’s a little bit imformations about my family,

Since the start of the attack on Gaza after 7 October, my family has been displaced more than once. now they are living in a tent in Rafah, the most southern area in the Gaza Strip. They are facing dire circumstances as they lack access to food, clean water, and warmth in these cold days. The situation is becoming increasingly critical with the spread of diseases, a scarcity of essential needs, rainy days where their tent floods and the heightened risk due to the conflict and ongoing bombardment around them. There is nowhere safe in Gaza - it is true what the UN says!

The closer picture in Gaza is even far more dire than what the media is covering and by every passing day the lives of those who survived the bombing is threatened by other factors such as the lack of decent shelter, lack of clean food and water, even the lack of access to bathrooms and the inevitable spread of diseases.

They’re all at risk of losing their lives and I feel helpless

We have lost beloved relatives and friends in Gaza. We have also lost everything we own in Gaza. Our home is now shattered . We keep reminding ourselves that the material is not what is most important.

My family - are not able to survive in Gaza anymore. It is so sad to say this! We hope to return to Gaza one day soon but for now, they need to leave to maintain their health and simply to stay alive…

My name is Aras Karacanand I’m reaching out to ask for your help during this devastating time in Gaza.

My family, including my parents and seven siblings, have lost their homes and all of their possessions. They’re currently all displaced; my parents are sleeping in tents while a couple of my brothers and their families have been sheltering in the hallways of hospitals. Meanwhile, my sister and her five children are living in dismal conditions in tents.

They’re struggling to afford basic needs, as none of them are earning money right now. They’ve lost all the comforts of their homes and belongings, only able to carry what they could when they were forced to leave their homes in October.

Please help us rebuild their lives from scratch.

Every dollar will go directly towards their immediate and long-term needs:

Food and clean water

Medicine, including blood pressure medicine for my mom and dad

Shelter (tents, mattresses and blankets)

Rebuilding their homes, which were all destroyed and worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

Help rebuild their businesses that were wiped out.

We hope this can help offer basic things to ensure their survival, as well as give them hope for a better future. Our family has already endured so much pain, with multiple of our family members getting killed in airstrikes.

We wouldn’t ordinarily ask for help in this way, but we realize the stakes are too high, and the financial challenges are too steep to not lean on community and kindness during this awful time. Thank you so much, we really, really appreciate every bit of support.
