Hi, my name is Elly, and I’m raising funds for my fiancé, Gavin.

What began as a dream holiday to Las Vegas has turned into the most terrifying experience of our lives. On the very day we were meant to fly home, Gavin suddenly became critically ill. He was rushed to the hospital and placed in intensive care, where doctors told us he had developed meningitis that had spread to his brain.

Since then, Gavin has been on a ventilator, fighting to breathe and fighting to live. Watching the person I love most in this world lying in a hospital bed, thousands of miles from home, has been absolutely heartbreaking.

We’ve been told Gavin will need to remain in hospital for an extended period to recover, and being so far from home has left us in a very difficult situation. The medical costs, accommodation, and daily expenses are quickly becoming overwhelming.

I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for Gavin, but we can’t do this alone. Any support — no matter how small — will make a difference in helping us cover the mounting costs and focus on what truly matters: Gavin’s recovery.
