Help Gavin George Heal After Hit and Run

Hello I am Gavin George mom. He was involved in a hit and run accident in Staley viaduct 8/4/2024. He was on his way to his last full time day at Splash Cove where he worked as a lifeguard andswim teacher. He was struck in the southbound lane and slammed into the concrete wall. He then flew over his handle bars going approximately 20mph and landed in his face breaking his nose and slid about 15 feet. He has road rash as deep as 3 rd degree burns in some places and is currently fighting an infection in his wounds. Gavin has an impaired immune system due to having a Pituitary (brain) tumor and auto immune disease. He gives himself injections 6 days a week. Gavin is amazing young man. 3 sport athlete and high honor student. He is currently in 11th grade and enrolled at Richland community college in Culinary Arts. He has a cast in and pins in 2 fingers after surgery caused by this accident. He has to sit out football again for a medical reason… last time it was the MRI results for his tumor. Gavin will be managing the football team fomrom the sidelines and helping his coach! A-O strong! We have therapy daily and follow his every week. I am a full time nurse manager and unable to be there for multiple reasons. Gavin has always wanted to be a blessing and not a burden. He won’t ask for anything but is always doing nice things for his family and friends. Please help Gavin and our family. We have started applying for different assistance from the state now because there are too many bills piling up too fast. We plan to use the funds to just pay bills while I am having to miss work, and buy Gavin some new shoes and glasses.
