My brother Gary Coe, also known as Rob, has faced unimaginable challenges this year. After losing his home in a devastating fire, he and his partner Theresa, along with their loyal dog Tippy, were left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The fire forced them out of their home. Both Gary and Theresa were hospitalized due to the trauma and injuries they suffered. Now, they are homeless and struggling to find stability.
Gary’s health has taken a severe turn. Earlier this year, he underwent a life-threatening surgery that resulted in most of his colon and intestines being removed due to diverticulitis. He spent over a month in Aultman Hospital, followed by time in a nursing home, and now lives with an ostomy bag. The medical bills, cost of medication, and ongoing health needs have made it nearly impossible for Gary to work or get back on his feet. Every day is a struggle to afford basic necessities like food, medical supplies, and a safe place to stay.
I am starting this fundraiser to help Gary, Theresa, and Tippy find hope and stability again. The funds raised will go directly toward a deposit for housing, daily expenses, food, and the medical supplies Gary needs to recover and live with dignity. If you can help just a little, it all adds up. Gary is terrified of what his life has become, and your support—whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser—will mean the world to them. Thank you so much for reading and for any help you can offer. The picture is from when he had surgery.
