Help Gary Rebuild After Outback Fire Destroys Everything

Last night I received I received a text from my Dad, an image of his Troopy completely incinerated.

On a dream trip across Australia with his mates, my Dad, Gary Case was doing what he loves most—fossicking for gold and on the road with his mates.

After a great trip, he was making his way back and had stopped in at the remote Camballlin, Western Australia, setting up camp for a couple of days. While out from camp, Dad noticed smoke in the distance. Rushing back, he was devastated to find his entire campsite engulfed in flames. His beloved Toyota Troopy, metal detector, camping gear, wallet—everything—reduced to ash.

Dad has always been someone who finds joy in the simple things: mateship, the bush, and a good bit of Aussie dirt to dig through. His Troopy wasn’t just a vehicle—it was his home on the road, his lifeline to the adventures that bring him so much happiness.

We’re raising funds to help Dad replace the essentials and get him back on the road. Every dollar will go toward rebuilding what he lost, starting with getting him home, a vehicle, and hopefully his camping gear and the rest.
