Help Gary Fight Stage 4 Cancer Together

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
As most of you know, life has thrown us a curveball as Gary battles stage 4 pancreatic cancer. On March 18th Gary went in for a routine procedure to have his gallbladder removed. During that procedure the Dr's discovered lesions on his liver. At the time, the Dr's thought that it was just a fatty liver, but did a biopsy just to be sure. A week later we were given the news that it was in fact cancer. They were able to tell by the test that liver cancer was not the primary, it had come from somewhere else in his body. After some more testing they were able to locate the source of it. It started in his pancreas and had spread to his liver, spine, ribs and his entire left leg. Currently he is undergoing chemo and radiation treatments. Since March, he has lost almost 60 pounds. He no longer drives or leaves the house except for Dr appointments. Chemo is taking it's toll, in every aspect of our lives. At the moment we are still receiving 100% of his pay. But because he will not be able to return to work, come August we will lose 20% of his pay. This is a huge loss. We are doing all we can to prepare for this decrease now, but we are falling short. The medical bills continue to add up, all the while our normal bills are still here.. We still have 4 children living at home, 3 of those are special needs and are not able to contribute any more than they already are. We are at a loss on how we are going to pay for the upcoming cost of medical bills, our normal bills and lose 20% of Gary's income. We understand that it is rough out there for everyone. But if you are able to help us at all it would be greatly appreciated. It is so difficult trying to manage the stress of cancer, let alone, the added stress for him not being able to work and provide for his family. This is an added stress he just doesn't need. Gary has always been the provider. It was always his mission in life to provide for his family. He doesn't verbalize his frustration and sadness, but as his wife, I see it, I hear it, and know that its bringing him down. If I could take on one more thing I would in a heart beat, just to ease his mind. Any help that you could spare would help ease his worry, our worry.
Sincerely and gratefully,
Angel Stroik
