I’m reaching out on behalf of my grandpa, Gary — a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who has always been the rock of our family. Now, he’s in the fight of his life, and we desperately need your help.

Gary is currently at Kettering Main Hospital, battling prostate cancer and kidney failure with unimaginable strength. With only one kidney — he selflessly donated his other to his late wife, Teri, in 2002 — that kidney is now failing, functioning at just 2%. Doctors are working tirelessly to save it, but his body is struggling.

As if that weren’t enough, Gary is also facing an uphill battle against prostate cancer. He is preparing to undergo hormone therapy and possibly radiation — treatments that are critical to his survival but come with overwhelming costs.

Gary is uninsured, and while we’re doing everything we can to secure financial aid, the medical bills, prescriptions, and life-saving treatments are already mounting beyond what we can handle.

Gary has always put others before himself and already been through so much. He gave a kidney to save his wife, Teri, after 27 years of marriage sadly for her to pass away in 2008. They together raised three daughters with love and strength. He built a legacy of kindness that now extends to nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He has always been there for us — now we need to be there for him.

But we can’t do this alone. With Gary unable to work and no insurance to cover his treatments, we are turning to our friends, family, and community for support.
