Gaelic 4 Good was started by Simon, who lives with a brain injury and wanted to create something positive that brings people together through Gaelic football while supporting multiple charities across Ireland.
The idea is simple. Every player involved chooses a charity that means something to them personally. It might be a charity that helped their family, supported someone they love, or represents a cause they really care about. That charity is then represented on their jersey when they play.
The money raised through this fundraiser will go towards supporting the different charities chosen by our players. That is the most important part of this for us. It is not just about one cause. It is about giving a platform to a number of charities and letting each player stand for something that matters to them.
As part of this GoFundMe, everyone involved will also be encouraged to take part in their own mini fundraisers in the lead-up to the event, such as 5K runs, skydives, bake sales, challenges, online fundraisers, and anything else they want to do to support their chosen charity.
Even a small donation or a share would mean so much. It helps us push this further, support more causes, and make Gaelic 4 Good something everyone involved can be proud of.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We genuinely appreciate it more than you know.
