Help Our Family Move Out of a Mold-Infested Home

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out for support as our family faces an urgent and overwhelming situation. We are currently renting a home that we have recently discovered is infested with mold—likely black mold. Over the past year, since moving in, we have experienced multiple unexplained illnesses, and after advocating for ourselves repeatedly, we now know why. Both my 4 year old and myself are asthmatic, which makes this situation all the more worrying.

Despite bringing our concerns to the rental company multiple times, little has been done to address the issue. The health risks are too high, and we can no longer stay in this environment. We need to move as soon as possible for the safety of our family, but the financial burden of relocation—deposits, moving expenses, and temporary housing—is more than we can handle on our own.

Our home has always been a place of love, not just for our family but also for animals in need. We’ve always had a furry friend by our side, often fostering animals until they find their forever homes. Now, we find ourselves in a situation where we need help.
