I was blessed to meet Nicole when they moved to Albuquerque and her three sons started school with my 3 boys. We have seen Gabriel and Daniel blossom in their classes and through service to others and school athletics. Earlier this week, Nicole’s ex (who is not the custodial parent and lives in Texas, where the Covid-19 count is much higher) petitioned the court for emergency custody of the boys with the reason that her being a healthcare worker made it an unsafe home environment for the boys because of Covid-19. Since then, she has taken a leave of absence from work and retained an attorney so she can maintain permanent custody of Daniel and Gabriel.  While Nicole fully supports her kids relationship with their dad according to their parenting plan, she asked they reschedule their spring break during the pandemic and didn't send them to Texas so as to keep them safe from the risks of traveling at this time. The goal of $6000 is requested. Any additional funds raised will offset lost wages and help pay for attorney fees for the immediate motion of emergency custody plus the many expected following motions and counter suit. The boys are doing so well with their schooling, health,  friends and activities in Albuquerque and do not want to move to Texas.
