On February 5, 2012, MeskayeHezunan MedhaneAlem Ethiopian Orthodox Church began with just a few faithful members. Over the years, families have come and gone, but through it all, our church has remained a source of light, love, and faith. Though small in number, we have always made a big impact — especially in the lives of our children, who have grown up learning to walk with Christ in this spiritual home.
February 5, 2012 ምስካየ ኅዙናን መድኃኔዓለም የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን በጥቂት ምእመናን ተመሠረተ። ባለፉት ዓመታት ቤተሰቦች ሲመጡና ሲሄዱ ቢቆዩም፣ በዚህ ሁሉ ውስጥ ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን የብርሃን፣ የፍቅር እና የእምነት ምንጭ ሆና ጸንታለች። ምንም እንኳን በቁጥር ጥቂት ብንሆንም፣ ሁልጊዜም ትልቅ ተፅእኖ መፍጠር ችለናል — በተለይም በዚህ መንፈሳዊ ቤት ውስጥ ከክርስቶስ ጋር መራመድን እየተማሩ ባደጉት በልጆቻችን ሕይወት ውስጥ።

For us, the church is more than a building. It is God’s house, a shelter for His children, and a place where hearts are nourished, faith is strengthened, and community is built.
ለእኛ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ከሕንፃ በላይ ናት። የእግዚአብሔር ቤት፣ ለልጆቹ መጠለያ፣ ልቦች የሚታደሱበት፣ እምነት የሚጸናበት እና ሕብረት የሚገነባበት ቅዱስ ስፍራ ናት።

Our Challenge
By God’s mercy, we were blessed with a place of worship for many, many years. But now, the property has been sold, and while our Muslim neighbors have graciously allowed us temporary use of the second building, they will soon need it to accommodate their own families. This means we must urgently find and purchase a permanent home for our congregation before the end of October.

በእግዚአብሔር ቸርነት ለብዙ ዓመታት የምንገለገልበት የአምልኮ ቦታ ተሰጥቶን ቆይቷል። አሁን ግን ንብረቱ በመሸጡ ምክንያት፣ ሙስሊም ጎረቤቶቻችን ሁለተኛውን ሕንፃ ለጊዜው እንድንጠቀምበት በደግነት ቢፈቅዱልንም፣ በቅርቡ ግን ለራሳቸው ቤተሰቦች መጠቀሚያነት ይፈልጉታል። በመሆኑም እስከ ጥቅምት ወር መጨረሻ ድረስ ለምእመናኖቻችን ቋሚ ቤት በአስቸኳይ መፈለግና መግዛት ይኖርብናል።

Why We Need Your Help
Our vision is to purchase a church home that will serve as a lasting foundation for our community. With this home, God willing, we will be able to:
- Continue faith classes for both children and adults, in Amharic and English.
- Expand community support and outreach.
- Provide daycare and new opportunities for families.
- Celebrate our holy days with enough space for all who wish to worship!
The building we hope to purchase with God's grace costs $1.5 million, but our immediate goal is to raise $100,000 toward a down payment. From there, we will continue to raise funds for necessary renovations, both for parking and inside the church, to make it ready for our traditions and community needs.

ራዕያችን ለማኅበረሰባችን ዘላቂ መሠረት የሚሆን የቤተ ክርስቲያን መሸሸጊያ መግዛት ነው። ይህ ቤት ሲኖረን፣ እንደ እግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ፣ የሚከተሉትን ተግባራት ማከናወን እንችላለን፦
- ለልጆችም ሆነ ለአዋቂዎች በአማርኛ እና በእንግሊዝኛ የሚሰጡ የሃይማኖት ትምህርቶችን መቀጠል፤
- ለማኅበረሰቡ የምናደርገውን ድጋፍ እና አገልግሎት ማስፋፋት፤
- የሕፃናት ማቆያ (daycare) ማዘጋጀት እና ለቤተሰቦች አዳዲስ ዕድሎችን መፍጠር፤
- በዓላቶቻችንን በቂ ቦታ ባለው ስፍራ ከሁሉም ምእመናን ጋር በጋራ ማክበር።
በእግዚአብሔር ጸጋ ለመግዛት ያቀድነው ሕንፃ ዋጋ $1.5 million ቢሆንም፣ የአሁኑ አስቸኳይ ግባችን ለቅድመ ክፍያ (down payment) የሚሆን $100,000 ማሰባሰብ ነው። ከዚያ በመቀጠል፣ ቦታው ለሥርዓተ አምልኳችን እና ለማኅበረሰቡ ፍላጎት ዝግጁ እንዲሆን፣ ለፓርኪንግ እና ለውስጥ እድሳት የሚሆን ተጨማሪ ገንዘብ ማሰባሰባችንን
እንቀጥላለን።
