Help fund Torro's Urgent Medical Procedure
Tax deductible
Torro the Bull Terrier needs our help.
Some of you may remember the story of Torro who was found alone staring into the windows of Title Boxing in Katy, TX looking for his family who had dumped him.
A Good Samaritan couldn't leave him there alone and took him in. She reached out to Almost Home Pet Rescue for assistance in finding his owner. Unfortunately it was discovered that Torro has a cardiac condition, his owners abandoned him on the streets without his vital medication and they have no interest in taking him back.
We have gotten Torro stabilized and he has been doing well. He has an absolutely wonderful foster family who has been loving on him and caring for him.
When Torro was taken in he had a small wound to his leg. We had it checked and it didn't seem like much and we all expected it to heal on its own. We have been keeping an eye on it and after many rounds of antibiotics it has only continued to get worse. We had our regular vet take another look who felt that a surgical intervention would be the way to proceed. Due to Torro's cardiac arrhythmia condition we were referred back to Gulf Coast Vet Specialists.
We consulted with them and they did a cytology of the mass which revealed three different types of bacteria and necrotic tissue. Surgical excision has been recommended as the area continues to get worse.
Because he has to have this done at a specialty hospital due to his cardiac issues this procedure is a bit more trickier and a lot more costly.
Here is an estimate of the cost:
We were not prepared for such an expense but we have no options, we must take care of Torro. This poor boy has been through a lot and we are committed to continuing to provide care for him.

All donations are tax deductible - if you can help us it would be tremendously helpful and appreciated.
As you can see he is so sweet and we all care a great deal for him.
No amount is too small.
