The Glastonbury TrainLink is a charity with the sole purpose of raising funds to set-up a pilot bus service between Glastonbury Town and Castle Cary railway station.
To get the pilot service up and running we need to raise around £120,000.
It’s a large sum, but here are the facts:
- The service would serve around 10,000 local residents and the 100,000s of visitors each year
- There are multiple businesses along the route that would benefit
- Local government/parish councils, although under financial pressure, have pledged funds
- Grants are available that we are applying for
- Everybody involved gives their time free and every penny raised goes towards the pilot
