Help Fund the Run4Jalima Legacy Scholarship

She was more than a runner. She was our heart. Help us honor her legacy with a scholarship that changes lives.
My name is Donte Hayes Jr., and I’m a 20-year-old student-athlete from North Philadelphia. I lost my mother, Jalima Levine, to stage 4 cancer when I was just 7 years old. She was everything: beautiful, kind, outgoing, and brave.
To honor her legacy, I created the Run4Jalima Legacy Scholarship: a $1,000 award I’ll give every year to a young person who’s been through something hard but still chooses to rise. Whether they’ve faced loss, hardship, or struggle—I want them to feel seen, supported, and reminded that they’re not alone.
I’m asking for your help to raise $5,000 to fully fund the scholarship and cover any platform fees. Every dollar raised goes directly to the award. This is about more than just money. It’s about keeping my mom’s name alive and turning pain into purpose.
If you believe in resilience, community, and hope—join me.

Thank you for helping me carry her legacy forward.
