We need your help. Raising awareness of the actions of this administration is usually free or low-cost, but putting on these large-scale events like the No Kings rally can start to add up. These funds come directly out of volunteer pockets, not from national organizations or large benefactors. With how these events grow each time, we want to make sure we can provide the best experience while you are out expressing your right to protest and bring attention to what you’re passionate about.
What we are trying to do with this No Kings rally on March 28th is have a larger sound system so everyone in attendance at Courthouse Square can hear the speakers and musicians that will be on the stage for you. The setup that is needed for this large of a crowd and space comes at a slightly higher price than most of us can afford to put up on our own. We are also bringing in an ADA capable restroom for use during the rally and having to pay a fee to rent Cooper Park after the march for local organizations to come out and get information to everyone in attendance.
Any leftover funds after the needed goal for this event will either be rolled into the next events costs or donated to a local organization so they can continue to help our neighbors. So please consider sending a little bit our way so groups like up can help bring people together in times of resistance and need.
Come join us on Saturday March 28th at Courthouse Square in Dayton. The rally is scheduled to start at 1pm with the march following after. We will end the march at Cooper Park in front of the library for the local organizations to connect with everyone in attendance. We hope to see you out there with us!
